To spot a LIE!

Contrary to the claim that a person cannot look someone in the eyes and lie to them, the TRUTH brings you:

6 EXAMPLES OF A LIE…! And then some…!

1) A blatant lie! Offering up as being true, something that the person(s) so offering it up knows is inaccurate, illogical and, therefore, devoid of TRUTH and integrity…!

Also, anything that contradicts the Irrefutable TRUTH! (See “The Truth about the lies about Porn!” and any of the other exposés on the ‘Lies and Corruption’ contents page.)

2 Offering up as being true & accurate, something that the person(s) so offering it up has failed to check/clarify as being TRUE and accurate! The word ‘assumption’ comes to mind (see ‘Under Siege 2’).

NB. A common practice by know it all (know nothing) MP’s!

3 Lying to a colleague, with the intent, or otherwise, that the colleague will claim that what they were told is the TRUTH! (A PA or receptionist’s superior/Boss telling them to tell anyone who phones that they are in a meeting, when, in fact, they simply do not want to be disturbed for a period of time.)

4 Misleadingly leaving out important points/information from a statement/communication….!

NB. A notable practice by MP’s, and Prime Minister Tony Blair. ALSO: Misleading in a court of law is Perjury! (See the TRUTH’s exposé: ‘How Tony Blair mislead parliament’ for more.)

5 Deception and Duplicity: Using a different terminology for something in order to discredit/undermine the TRUTH!

6 False claims: Lyingly claiming that you can either do or control something that is not within your capabilities. (See the TRUTH’s exposé: ‘How Tony Blair’s claim to get tough on the cause of crime transpired to be a lie!’ for a perfect example.)

Note. It is not a lie to lie on behalf of a colleague in this situation: When a superior tells you to tell callers they are in a meeting, when they clearly are not, for the simple reason that you are conveying what they said without deviating from it, despite being lied to by that person (see 3 above).

Body language. It is claimed by Samuel L Jackson’s character in the film ‘The Negotiator’ that body language can indicate when a person is lying. The problem with that is, anyone who has seen the film can tell the truth while committing that aspect of body language.

Furthermore, as touched on in the introduction, it is possible for a man to look someone in the eyes and lie to them: ‘In truth, I’m actually a woman’! Meaning that, they had a sex change. Just one small problem. The only thing that is not changed is a man’s Adam’s apple, which would be noticeable when they look up.

Perpetual

FACT!

What is Perpetual fact, you are no doubt asking yourself?

Whether you’ve navigated your way to this interesting, intriguing article from the cover via the contents page or the contents page from another article’s URL you were told about or this article’s URL, to understand the foundation of this rather novel item, the following point, which comes from the TRUTH’s editorial page is worth repeating:

‘You can’t handle the TRUTH!’. So exclaimed Jack Nicholson’s character to Tom Cruise’s character in the courtroom film dram: ‘A Few Good Men’, and in reply to Cruise’s exclamation: ‘I want the truth’.

Nicholson’s response is right up there with ‘Welcome to the party, pal!’ from ‘Die Hard’, and ‘Shaken, not stirred’ in reference to James Bond’s preferred drink, and was also used by the George character in at least one episode of ‘Seinfeld’.

Perpetual, as you surely know, is something that is unending. A drawn shape where the line ends at the starting point: ‘8’, ‘0’, ‘D’ being 3 of 4 keys on a standard keyboard that are perpetual.

If we take Nicholson’s exclamation to its logical point, by adding ‘if’ to the start, something rather interesting happens, something that is very much a cornerstone of the exposés, more so that of the articles, in the TRUTH, while there is a bit more to the phrase than that, as you will soon see.

We’ve very much all agreed that a circle, like a square, etc, is a perpetual object. When it comes to computers, in particular, micro computers like the ZX spectrum, they function with a degree of perpetuality. For example, until a key on the keyboard is pressed, the brain, as it was referred to, would perpetually ask the following question: ‘Is the keyboard being pressed?’

It’s both important and relevant, at this point, that I show you the basic diagram in relation to that question, using a rectangle and a flowchart object:

End/Start

The answers, the logical answers, ‘yes’ or ‘no’, are the same as ‘True’ or ‘Lie’. If the answer is ‘yes’, the programme has a command ‘goto’ or ‘gosub’ another part of the programme, depending on the nature of the question, otherwise, it falls through to the next line of the programme, which sends it back to the start.

So, how does that tie in with Jack Nicholson’s exclamation? Simple.

‘Do you have the integrity to handle the truth?’ is the best way to look at it. If the answer is ‘yes’, then you also have the integrity to dispense the truth, being that which you handled.

If, on the other hand, the answer is ‘no’, then you don’t have the integrity to dispense the truth, and that will remain a perpetual fact until such a time as the answer is ‘YES!’.

Just a thought: Did whoever wrote the line into the film or its script, realise just how poignant the line would be and become? Probably not!
